Faivre Implement opened for business in 1981 when brothers Jim and Lou Faivre purchased the assets of Bartig & Alm, a John Deere dealership in Nelsonville, WI. They remained in Nelsonville until 1995 when they moved to a new facility along Highway 10 three miles east of Stevens Point.
In 2003, Lou sold his portion of the business to Brett Faivre and the business purchased a second JD dealership in Westfield. A new facility was built along I-39 in 2007. Terry Faivre became a partner in 2009.
Gary Smith is the General Manager of the Stevens Point store while Brett is the General Manager in Westfield. Faivre Implement currently has 35 full-time employees. They sell and service John Deere agricultural, light construction, commercial, and lawn care products, as well as several short lines of equipment.
